I handle a wide variety of legal matters throughout the Hudson Valley, primarily in Rockland, Westchester and Orange Counties, but also in New York City and throughout the state.  I appear in state, federal and appellate courts.  Although I have a general practice, I concentrate on criminal defense, federal civil rights (42 U.S.C. § 1983), family law, personal injury, and suits against (or defense of) municipalities under CPLR Article 78.

I understand that facing the prospect of either initiating or being on the receiving end of legal action is one of the most intimidating and stressful situations any of us can go through.

Because of this, I listen closely to all my clients to understand their side of the story.  Unlike many attorneys, I always treat my clients with respect.  I apprise them realistically about how I view their cases, and I fight unreservedly for their rights and to ensure they receive the best possible outcomes.

I received outstanding training and trial experience in the U.S. Air Force, where I tried over fifty courts-martial and had the honor to work with some of the best trial attorneys in the country.  I have also worked with the former District Attorney of Rockland County and numerous other experienced trial counsel, and believe that I have learned something valuable from each attorney I have worked with.

Given my background, I have a depth and range of experience that few others in the region have.

I love the practice of law, especially working out complicated legal issues and (if the issues can't be resolved amicably and to everyone's benefit) trying cases before a judge, jury or hearing officer.  If you have legal questions, are contemplating bringing a law suit, or have been served papers or had charges filed against you, I look forward to hearing from you and discussing your legal issues.
